It's our experience that, for many of our clients, vegetable and fruit gardening is a relatively new activity, and so we've decided that part of our service needs to include follow-up visits! So now, when you ask us to install a raised bed for you, included in the cost is a one-hour follow-up visit during which we can:
- help you plan your planting;
- work with you to actually plant the garden;
- provide advice at any point in the growing and harvesting process;
- help you to design and grow a herb garden;
- draw up a watering plan;
- help you plan a winter garden;
- teach you how to care for the soil;
- aid you in preparing your garden for the winter or the spring;
- consult with you on anything else you'd like to know about!
We are also happy to negotiate a similar visit for anyone starting a balcony garden or hiring us for any other large-ish project (minimum $300 project)!
Or, if you just want to hire us for some ideas and advice alone, without any other service, we will consult with you. If you're just not sure how to get started, we'll even take you to a gardening store and walk you through the process of buying seeds, plants and equipment! We charge $40/hour (+ GST) for consultations.
